The buildings belonged to the Watzenrode family, with number 15 being the residence where astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus was born in 1473.
The exhibition space demonstrates the daily life of medieval Toruń merchants through archaeological artifacts and period-accurate room reconstructions.
The museum provides guided tours in multiple languages and operates from Tuesday to Sunday, with extended hours during the summer season.
The medieval roof structure contains a special illumination system that recreates the night sky as it appeared during Copernicus's time.
