The Casa Museu José Régio contains 17 permanent exhibition rooms across two floors, displaying furniture, art pieces, and personal artifacts.
The building from the late 17th century served as an annex to São Brás Convent and later functioned as military headquarters during Peninsular Wars.
The museum houses over 400 Christ on the Cross sculptures, with pieces dating from the 15th century Gothic period through modern interpretations.
The museum operates Tuesday through Sunday from 09:30 to 18:00 in summer season, with reduced hours from October to March.
José Régio initially rented one room in this former boarding house, gradually occupying more space to accommodate his growing collection.
