Smederevska Palanka

Smederevska Palanka is an industrial town in the Podunavlje region that grew along major transport routes. The settlement combines older neighborhoods with newer developments and functions as an economic center for the surrounding area.

The region was settled during the Neolithic period, as shown by archaeological finds from the Vinča culture. These early societies left traces that remain visible today through excavated objects and remains.
