Palić Zoo

The 10-hectare zoo houses 450 animals representing 150 species, including monkeys, deer, antelope, zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants, camels, tigers, and wolves.

The zoo was established in 1949 near Palić Lake, which gained recognition as a spa destination from the 1880s until the start of World War I.

Educational programs at the zoo promote wildlife preservation while teaching visitors about the behaviors and ecological roles of different animal species.

The facility maintains seasonal hours, opening at 9:00 with varying closing times from 15:00 in winter months to 20:00 during summer season.

The northern section features evergreen trees while the southern area contains deciduous species, including Lebanon cedars, sequoias, and larch varieties.
