The estate served as Vladimir Lenin's residence during his final years until his death in 1924, after which his body was prepared for transport to Moscow.
The estate complex includes multiple museums displaying Lenin's personal items, documents, and a collection of Soviet-era artifacts from the revolutionary period.
Visitors can reach the estate via regular trains departing from Moscow's Paveletsky Railway Station, with guided tours available in several languages.
The estate maintains Lenin's original Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost automobile, modified specifically for Russian winter conditions during the early Soviet period.
