Кудымкарское городище

The Kudymkarsky settlement stretches across 8000 square meters on a steep promontory above the Kuva River in central Kudymkar.

The archaeological site contains remnants of wooden dwellings, storage pits, and fortification walls dating from the 7th through 17th centuries.

Excavations revealed a mix of local pottery, Bulgarian trade items, and burial grounds combining Russian Orthodox crosses with Komi-Permyak funeral traditions.

The settlement site stands 40 meters above the city beach, accessible through paths leading up from the riverbank area.

Archaeological findings include remains of a wooden palisade fence, household items, weapons, and jewelry from different historical periods.
