Музей речного флота Волжской государственной академии водного транспорта, River Fleet Museum at Water Transport Academy in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia
The museum exhibits more than 10,000 artifacts related to river navigation, including ship models, technical equipment, and historical navigation instruments.
Founded in October 1921 as the Volgarian Museum in Saratov, the institution moved to Nizhny Novgorod in 1935 to showcase river fleet development.
The museum maintains seven exhibition halls presenting different aspects of Russian river navigation, from ancient boats to modern passenger vessels.
Located on Minina Street 7, fourth floor, the museum welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 to 16:00 and provides free admission to all guests.
Students of the Water Transport Academy contribute to the museum collection by designing and creating their own ship models during their studies.
