Church of Saint George in Gruziny

The Church of Saint George is an Orthodox place of worship in Moscow's Presnensky District, built with a rectangular floor plan, central dome, and bell tower. Its architecture blends classical and Byzantine elements that define both the exterior and interior of the structure.

A Georgian prince established this church in the mid-18th century as a wooden building, but it fell to fire around 1779. The structure was subsequently rebuilt in stone and took on its present form.

This church serves as a spiritual home for Moscow's Georgian community and draws worshippers across generations. Services blend Russian and Georgian traditions, creating a meeting place where both cultures come together.
