Lutic Fortress, Archaeological fortress in Nedvigovka, Russia.

The fortress stands on the left bank of Mertvy Donets River, featuring pentagonal towers at each corner and defensive walls measuring 40 meters on each side.

Built in 1660 under Crimean Khan orders, the fortress defended the Don delta from Russian attacks until its capture by Russian forces in 1696.

The construction involved Turkish, Tatar, Hungarian, Wallachian, and Russian workers, resulting in a structure that could accommodate a garrison of 500 people.

Located at coordinates 47.26137 latitude and 39.39187 longitude in Myasnikovsky District, the fortress forms part of the Tanais Archaeological Reserve Museum.

The fortress utilized an iron chain across the river to prevent Cossack boats from passing through the strategic waterway.
