Sad Ermitazh is a park near the center of Kazan, set between two low hills and lined with old trees. Winding paths connect shaded areas with more open sections across the grounds.
The land once belonged to a nobleman whose estate was destroyed in the mid-1800s. After that, the site was turned into a public park and became a central part of city life.
