Bibirevo ethnographic village, Ethnographic park in Bibirevo District, Moscow, Russia.
Bibirevo ethnographic village is a recreational park in the Bibirevo district of Moscow, laid out along the Chermyanka River and featuring traditional Russian wooden architecture. Wooden bridges, an amphitheater, children's playgrounds, and picnic areas are spread across the grounds.
The land where the park now stands once belonged to the old village community of Podushkino. In 2004, the area was transformed into a structured park that draws on the rural character of the place.
A chapel dedicated to Saints Anthony and Theodosius of Kiev-Pechersk stands on the grounds, surrounded by wooden structures that echo old village building styles. Visitors can see how religious and rural traditions come together in one place.
Paths run along the riverbank and connect the different parts of the park, making it easy to explore on foot. Visiting on a weekday morning tends to be quieter than on weekends.
Before the park was created, the site was a neglected swampy area that was hardly accessible. The whole layout today shows how a forgotten patch of land can become a place that a whole neighborhood uses regularly.
