Музей-усадьба «Демидовская дача»

The Demidov Estate Museum comprises three stone buildings arranged in Empire style, occupying a hillside overlooking Tagil Pond. The main structure features a tower crowned with a spire and decorative roof elements that define the ensemble's appearance.

Construction of the estate took place from 1837 to 1843 for engineer Foty Shvetsov, then passed to Prince Pavel Demidov San-Donato in 1855. The Demidov family's ownership brought prominence to the site and transformed it into a cultural landmark.

The main rooms on the first floor recreate how mining engineers worked in the 1800s, with period furnishings and tools on display. Upstairs, the Demidov Hall served as a gathering space for the estate's social events and remains a venue for presentations today.

The estate opens Wednesday through Sunday, with extended evening hours on Thursdays until 7 p.m. Plan your visit for these days, as the museum remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The southern wing displays household items from the 1800s, including tin containers and glass jars used for food storage. These everyday objects reveal how people managed daily tasks and preserved food during that era.
