The Church of Apostle Philipp and Saint Nicholas features a square cross-section foundation with traditional Russian architectural elements and stone decorations.
Constructed in 1526 by merchants from Novgorod and Moscow, the church replaced an earlier 14th-century structure on the same location.
The church maintains an active role in religious services while functioning as a museum, displaying fragments of historical religious artworks.
Visitors can access guided tours in multiple languages and explore the church daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except Mondays and Tuesdays.
The structure contains preserved fragments of original frescoes, including the notable depiction of Job from the medieval period.
