Rukavishnikovsky Shelter

The Rukavishnikovsky Shelter is a mansion in the Arbat District featuring symmetrical windows, detailed stonework, and traditional Russian architectural elements. The facade displays rectangular proportions with carefully crafted decorative details.

The mansion was built in 1793 and represents an important example of residential architecture during Moscow's expansion in the late 1700s. It emerged during a period when the city was rapidly changing its built environment.

The building shows how wealthy Moscow families lived and designed their homes during the 1700s. The architecture reflects the taste and social rank of the upper class at that time.

The original facade preserves stone patterns and window frames from the time of construction over 230 years ago. These details are rare remnants of original craftsmanship from that period.
