Patriot, Military exhibition park in Kubinka, Russia
Patriot is a sprawling military equipment exhibition in Kubinka, Russia, spread across extensive grounds with hangars, parking areas and training zones. Armored vehicles, artillery pieces and other weapons stand outdoors or under protective shelters, while aircraft are displayed on paved surfaces.
The facility opened in 2015 to showcase military developments and promote defense readiness. It was built on an existing military training ground near Kubinka, where vehicle testing had already taken place for decades.
Visitors watch reenacted battle scenarios and inspect armored vehicles or transport equipment at close range. The grounds serve as a training area for young recruits and attract many school groups, offering a hands-on introduction to military routines.
The site is accessible via an approach road about 50 kilometers west of central Moscow, where visitors must present identification documents. The complex closes on Mondays, while other days typically allow entry until late afternoon.
A replica Reichstag facade stands on the grounds and serves as a backdrop for training demonstrations. Nearby rises an Orthodox cathedral whose interior features reliefs depicting weapons and military insignia.
