Nicholas Chapel, Orthodox church building in central Tula, Russia.
The Nicholas Chapel featured four altars within its stone walls and stood as a prominent religious structure in the city center of Tula.
The church emerged from a small wooden chapel with Saint Nicholas icon near the fortress wall in the 16th century and received its stone structure in 1745.
The religious center maintained a parish school from 1898 and supported the City Temperance Society starting from 1911.
The church remained accessible to worshippers from early morning until 9 PM, offering extended hours for prayer and religious services.
A well with a chapel built over it existed on the church grounds until the 1930s when both structures were demolished during Soviet reconstruction.
