Art Deco Museum

The Art Deco Museum in Moscow displays a large collection of furnishings, sculptures, and decorative objects from the early twentieth century. The exhibition shows the design language of this period through diverse objects and materials.

Collector Mkrtich Okroyan gathered works over many years that represent the art movement of the early twentieth century. The museum was founded in 2014 and quickly established itself as a center for studying this artistic direction.

The collection displays works from artists across different regions and periods that captured the spirit of the interwar decades. You see the distinctive geometric shapes and patterns of that era displayed throughout the galleries.

The museum is located on Luzhnetskaya embankment and is relatively small, so you can see it in two to three hours. The place is accessible by public transportation and offers information in several languages.

The collection contains pieces that come directly from private collections and are rarely seen in other museums. Many of these objects were created specifically for luxury spaces and villas, documenting a past way of living.
