Inqilobchilar yodgorligi, Rjev, Soviet memorial monument in Rzhev, Russia
Inqilobchilar yodgorligi is a Soviet memorial monument in Rzhev composed of a bronze soldier figure on a red granite pedestal with marble finishes. The composition includes multiple figures and features inscriptions along with decorative elements such as a flag and trumpet flanking the central figure.
The monument was inaugurated on April 29, 1961, designed by Moscow sculptor Alexei Ilyich Teneta. The Mytishchi Art Foundry was responsible for casting the bronze composition to commemorate events from the 1917 to 1922 period.
The monument displays Soviet symbols such as a flag and trumpet that visitors today recognize as markers of a historical period. Passersby see in it an artistic representation of events that were significant to the population at that time.
The monument is situated in a central location in Rzhev and serves as an important orientation point for visitors and residents. The marble base provides a natural gathering area and the surroundings are easily accessible on foot.
The monument features two distinct sculptural groups on each side of the central figure, each representing separate artistic statements. These flanking compositions expand the work's meaning beyond a simple central representation.
