Fiztekh, Metro station in Severny District, Russia
Fiztekh is a metro station in the Severny District of northern Moscow, serving as the northern terminus of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. The station sits along Dmitrovskoye Highway and acts as the final stop on this branch of the network.
The station opened on September 7, 2023 as part of a northward extension of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. Before this expansion, the northern districts along this corridor had limited access to the metro network.
The station takes its name from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, which stands close by. Travelers passing through will notice a steady flow of students and researchers heading toward the campus on most days.
The station is easy to reach from Dmitrovskoye Highway and sits in a residential area on the far north edge of the city. From here, travelers can ride the line directly toward more central parts of Moscow without changing trains.
Fiztekh sits at the northernmost point of the entire Moscow metro system. This means every train departing from here travels the full length of the line before reaching the southern end of the network.
