Profitable house of I. I. Karzinkin

The Profitable House of I.I. Karzinkin exhibits eclectic architecture with a detailed facade, standing prominently on Stoleshnikov Lane in Moscow.

Built in 1874 under architect Vassili Karneiev's direction, this structure was initially owned by Ivan Ivanovich Karzinkin, a paper mill proprietor.

Russian writer Vladimir Gilyarovsky lived in apartment 10 from 1886 to 1935, receiving visits from Anton Chekhov and Feodor Chaliapin.

Located at coordinates 55°45'22"N, 37°37'4"E, the building maintains its residential function while preserving its architectural characteristics.

A memorial plaque on the building facade commemorates Gilyarovsky's residence, while his descendants preserved the original apartment furnishings.
