Kuznechiki is an archaeological site near Podolsk with a raised oval platform measuring about 25 by 60 meters, bordered by two defensive ridges. The cultural layer reaches 0.6 meters deep in the center and grows deeper toward the edges of the platform.
The site was excavated between 1963 and 1965, revealing layers spanning from the Early Iron Age to medieval Dyakovo culture periods. These findings show that people settled here across a long stretch of time.
The settlement contains traces of houses marked by post holes and floor layers, with everyday objects like bone arrows and fishing needles scattered throughout. These finds show how people lived and worked here across different periods.
