Built between 1905 and 1908 under architect Peter Vinogradov's direction, the church became part of the Nikolo-Perervinsky Monastery complex.

Located within hospital grounds, the church requires advance arrangements for visits and offers spiritual support to patients through regular clergy visits.

Moscow artist Ivan Sokolov created the original interior and exterior paintings, which were later enhanced by iconographer Vasily Guryanov.
