Kolingsborg, Public building at Södermalmstorg in Stockholm, Sweden.
Kolingsborg was a building with an elliptical form at Södermalmstorg in Stockholm. Its exterior featured gray-green enamel panels, and it contained multiple levels designed for different functions.
The building was constructed between 1953 and 1954 by Olle Engkvist based on architect Arthur von Schmalensee's designs. It initially served Stockholm's port operations.
The lower levels displayed murals showing dock workers at their daily tasks, reflecting the maritime heritage of Stockholm's waterfront.
The building remained in use until December 2013, when its final function as a nightclub ceased before demolition in autumn 2015. Today, visitors can only trace its history through the location where it once stood.
Just before demolition, the building was transformed in June 2015 as part of the OMSTart Slussen street art project. Its exterior became a temporary art exhibition, giving the space a final artistic chapter.
