Sjötorpsfortet

The fort extends across multiple levels, with sections positioned near the water and additional fortified areas situated on the elevated hillside terrain.

Built between 1905 and 1909, Sjötorpsfortet formed part of Stockholm's Southern Front defense system, constructed to protect the capital before World War I.

Local civilian organizations, including the Association for Stockholm's Fixed Defense, funded the construction and later transferred the fortification to military control.

The fort contains multiple entrance points and firing positions on its interior side, with a network of trenches extending along the slope toward Lännafortet.

The artillery battery at the summit was specifically designed to accommodate four 12-centimeter cannons, with integrated shelters and ammunition storage between weapon positions.
