Skavlötens kulsprutebunkrar

Built before and during World War I, these bunkers formed part of the Northern Front defense system, which protected Stockholm's northern approaches.

The bunkers represent the Swedish defense strategy shift from central defense to border and coastal protection at the turn of the 20th century.

The bunkers remain accessible through the Skavlöten recreational area, which features hiking trails and winter sports facilities.

Carl Robert Lamm, a local landowner, funded and donated these military structures to secure the strategic Täby passage between Stockholm's lake systems.
