Täby Racecourse

Täby Racecourse was a horse racing venue with multiple track types, including a turf course in the center and a dirt surface surrounding it. The grounds also featured separate courses designed for hurdle and steeplechase racing.

The venue opened in 1960 and hosted varied racing categories serving both professional and amateur competitors. It became an important center for horse racing in the region over the following decades.

The Stockholm Cup International and Täby Open Sprint Championship achieved Group 3 status, marking significant milestones for Scandinavian horse racing.

The grounds were well equipped with parking and spectator areas to accommodate large crowds on racing days. Visitors could watch events from various stands or standing areas positioned throughout the venue.

The venue closed in 2016 after 56 years of operation as horse racing shifted to other locations. A final celebration marked the end of this chapter in local equestrian sports history.
