Partille Arena, building in Partille Municipality, Gothenburg and Bohus County, Sweden
Partille Arena is a multi-purpose hall and stadium in Partille Municipality, just east of Gothenburg. The main hall can host sports events, concerts and trade fairs, and the building also contains a gym, a bowling alley, a restaurant and conference rooms.
Partille Arena opened in September 2016, replacing several older and scattered event venues in the municipality. It was built to give the area a single central location for large sports and public events.
The arena draws a wide mix of visitors, from handball fans to concert-goers and trade fair attendees, all sharing the same building on different days. This variety makes it a meeting point for people from Partille and the broader Gothenburg area.
The arena is well connected by public transport and has parking on site for those arriving by car. During large events the main entrance area fills up quickly, so arriving a little early helps avoid the crowd.
The arena is home to a top-division handball club, which means visitors can watch professional handball at a close range in a relatively small municipality outside a major city. The seating puts the crowd very near the action, giving the event a different feel from a large stadium.
