The fifth construction phase of Nordstan, designed by architects Backström & Reinius, opened its doors to the public on September 28, 1972.
The shopping center represents modern Swedish retail development, combining international brands with local merchants in a central metropolitan location.
The facility provides 15,500 square meters of retail space with direct access to Nordstan parking garage and receives 11.5 million visitors annually.
The 2016 renovation by property company Hufvudstaden transformed the interior spaces while maintaining the original structural design of the building.
