Eric von Rosens jaktstuga

This hunting lodge sits in a clearing beside Jaktstusjön lake, built from wood with iron-clad doors and a gable roof decorated with carved details. The ground floor holds a main room and kitchen, while the upper level contains three bedrooms.

Built in 1909 by architect Ivar Tengbom, the structure blends Norse architectural elements into its design as a weekend home for Eric von Rosen. The building reflects the early 20th-century interest in Scandinavian design and craftsmanship.

The wooden seats carved inside show images of the Norse gods Thor and Odin, alongside hunting scenes and traditional Nordic decorative patterns.

The building is a protected heritage site, so visitors should respect its historical structure and preserved details. Access is easiest by personal transportation, since the clearing location in the forest offers limited public transport options nearby.

The iron doors carry an engraved inscription showing the construction year and the original owner Eric von Rosen from Rockelsta. This marking reveals how important it was for the building's creator to preserve his name and the house's creation date.
