Rumskulla oak, Ancient tree in Vimmerby Municipality, Sweden.
The Rumskulla oak stands at a height of 14 meters with a trunk measuring 13 meters in circumference near Norra Kvill National Park.
First documented in 1772 by Magnus Gabriel Craelius, this oak tree has endured over a millennium of Swedish history and environmental changes.
Local traditions suggest the oak sprouted from an acorn during the time of Christ's birth, leading to its regional name 'Oak of Christ'.
A fence restricts access within 5 meters of the tree, and designated paths from the parking area guide visitors to observation points.
The trunk contains a complete hollow interior, supported by wire systems and chains installed in 2013 to maintain its structure.
