Råsunda vattentorn

Råsunda water tower is a water storage structure in Solna standing about 37 meters tall with a capacity of roughly 2,300 cubic meters. The building maintains its original exterior while the interior has been adapted into eight residential units.

Built in 1966 to support the growing water needs of expanding Solna, this facility became essential infrastructure for the municipality. From 1994 onward, it was repurposed into homes, reflecting how older structures find new uses in contemporary times.

The tower represents a piece of local identity, showing how practical infrastructure once defined the appearance of growing communities. Residents and passersby recognize it as a landmark that connects to the area's development.

The tower stands out clearly in Solna's landscape due to its height and can be spotted easily from various points in the area. The surrounding neighborhood offers typical urban conveniences and good accessibility for visitors.

Some of the eight apartments take advantage of the tower's height, spanning two floors and creating an unusual living environment inside. From these upper units, residents and visitors can look out toward nearby lakes.
