Ribersborgsstranden, Public beach in Ribersborg district, Malmö, Sweden

Ribersborgsstranden is a 3-kilometer sandy beach with ten bathing piers and spacious lawns stretching from Västra Hamn along the coast to the Limhamn district. The site also features sports grounds for football and rugby, plus walking paths and cycling routes through the adjacent green areas.

The recreational area emerged in the 1920s when sand from the Öresund strait was transported by train to create this public leisure space. This development made the beach a popular gathering spot for Malmö's growing population.

The bathhouse here features separate sections for men and women where visitors experience traditional Nordic bathing customs including saunas and cold water immersion. These spaces reflect bathing practices that have been part of regional life for many generations.

The beach is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle and offers ample parking along with changing facilities and showers at several locations. Visitors should note that conditions vary by season, so checking the weather before a visit is worthwhile.

Between the last bathing pier and the marina sits a designated section for nude bathing that follows European naturist traditions. This area is well marked and used by many visitors who enjoy this form of recreation.
