Jurong Bird Park

The park extends across 20.2 hectares of land, featuring numerous aviaries where 3,500 birds from 400 species reside in specialized habitats.

The construction of Jurong Bird Park began after Finance Minister Goh Keng Swee visited Rio de Janeiro Aviary in 1967, opening on January 3, 1971.

This facility contributes to wildlife conservation through educational programs and the protection of endangered species, representing 20 percent of the resident birds.

The park provides 2 kilometers of trails for visitors to explore different sections, including the African Waterfall Aviary and specialized feeding zones.

The African Waterfall Aviary stands as the largest walk-in aviary worldwide, housing 1,500 birds from 50 species near a 30-meter waterfall.
