Singapore Discovery Centre, Educational museum in Southwest Singapore.
The Singapore Discovery Centre spans 10,000 square meters of exhibition space with interactive displays, multimedia presentations, and military equipment displays along a man-made lake.
The centre opened in 1996 after its construction near SAFTI Military Institute, evolving from a 1992 Heritage Technology Exhibition proposal to showcase Singapore's achievements.
The Through the Lens of Time gallery presents Singapore's development from pre-colonial times through independence, featuring personal stories and historical artifacts.
Singapore citizens and permanent residents receive free admission to the centre, which operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
The complex includes an XD Theatre offering 5D motion experiences, multiple escape rooms, and laser tag facilities enhanced by projection mapping technology.
