Omni-Theatre, Science Centre Singapore

The Omni-Theatre at Science Centre Singapore is a cinema with a giant digital dome screen that covers the entire ceiling and surrounds viewers completely. The auditorium holds about 220 people and displays films in 8K 3D quality.

The theater was founded as Southeast Asia's first digital dome cinema and set a new standard for science education in the region. It has since become a leading venue for sharing knowledge through advanced film technology.

The theater is located within the Science Centre and opens from 10 AM to 8 PM Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance, and it's best to arrive early as popular screenings fill up quickly.

Beyond showing films, the theater also functions as an observatory with professional projection equipment for viewing the night sky. This dual purpose lets visitors explore astronomy in a novel way that combines cinema and space observation.
