The Lafranconi dormitory consists of multiple floors with rooms facing south toward the Danube River, incorporating functionalist architectural elements throughout its structure.
Architect Klement Šilinger designed this educational building between 1927 and 1933, completing the construction in two distinct phases during those years.
The dormitory serves the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Comenius University, integrating residential spaces with sports facilities for student development.
The building contains 95 single rooms, 135 double rooms, and 8 triple rooms, accommodating 396 students with access to dining halls and sports areas.
An oval staircase winds through the structure while the building's symmetrical design maximizes natural light and views of the Danube River.
