Mueang Chiang Rai

Mueang Chiang Rai is the central administrative district of Chiang Rai province in northern Thailand. The area spreads across mountainous terrain and is traversed by the Kok River, which shapes the landscape.

The district grew into the administrative heart of Chiang Rai province during the region's development as an important northern center. Over time, local governance structures expanded to serve the growing population and surrounding villages.
