Mueang Phetchaburi

Mueang Phetchaburi is an administrative district in western Thailand that spreads across the Phetchaburi River valley and comprises multiple subdistricts. The area mixes urban centers with extensive farmland and serves as the provincial capital seat.

The district was established in 1903 and initially centered in Khlong Krachaeng subdistrict before expanding to become the province's administrative heart. This growth shaped the region over more than a century.
