Mueang Ubon Ratchathani

Mueang Ubon Ratchathani is the central administrative district of Ubon Ratchathani province in northeastern Thailand. It consists of multiple subdivisions and villages, with much of the area organized around the Mun River valley.

The district received its current name in 1913 as part of administrative reforms in early twentieth-century Thailand. Earlier designations reflected different periods of regional organization and governance.
