Mershavtsev Park, Urban park in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.
Mershavtsev Park is an urban park in Kryvyi Rih with walking paths, green spaces, and recreational areas positioned along a gentle river. The grounds feature different zones for activities and rest areas distributed across the land.
The site was founded in 1972 and originally carried the name Pravda Newspaper Park. In 2016 it received a new name to honor Fedor Mershavtsev, a Russian naval officer.
The park functions as a central gathering space where locals spend time with family and friends on weekends and weekday evenings. You can observe people strolling, sitting on benches, or watching children play, which makes it an active part of everyday city life.
The park is easily accessible by public transportation and features a boat station for water activities. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since there are many paths to explore throughout the grounds.
From the park you can see the industrial structures of Kryvyi Rih in the distance, which creates a striking contrast with the green surroundings. This side-by-side presence of nature and industry gives the place an unusual character.
