The Royal Windsor Wheel is a ferris wheel located in Alexandra Gardens, standing approximately 60 meters tall. It contains 40 enclosed gondolas, each accommodating six passengers.
The wheel was installed in 2006 and initially operated seasonally until 2012. At its peak in 2009, it carried over 200,000 passengers during the season.
The wheel offers visitors elevated views of Windsor Castle, St George's Chapel, and the surrounding Thames Valley landscape. From above, one sees the historical buildings and green spaces that define the town.
The wheel operates from March through September and is located within easy reach of Windsor town center. Visitors should note that operations may vary depending on weather conditions.
