Polish Air Force Memorial, War memorial in South Ruislip, England
The monument features a Portland stone obelisk topped with a bronze Polish eagle, alongside a trapezoidal pool containing water fountains.
Marshal Arthur Tedder unveiled the memorial in 1948 to honor over 18,000 Polish airmen who served in RAF squadrons during World War II.
Annual ceremonies at the memorial include wreath-laying, Polish Air Force Officer Cadets performing the Roll-Call of the Fallen, and performances by RAF Central Band musicians.
The memorial stands adjacent to the roundabout connecting A40 and A4180 near Northolt Aerodrome, with commemorative gardens offering space for reflection.
The structure contains bronze lettering displaying 1,902 names of Polish airmen who lost their lives during the Second World War.
