Hilton of Cadboll Stone, Archaeological site in Easter Ross, Scotland.

The Hilton of Cadboll Stone stands as a carved Pictish slab featuring intricate designs, animal figures, and geometric patterns on both sides of its surface.

Dating from the 8th century, this monumental stone originally stood near a chapel in the village before being moved to Invergordon Castle in the 19th century.

The stone displays Pictish symbols including crescents, V-rods, double discs, and a hunting scene depicting a woman riding a horse on horseback.

Visitors can examine the original stone at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, while a modern reproduction stands at its initial location.

The Hilton of Cadboll Stone remains one of thirty-five known Pictish symbol stones discovered across northern Scotland, each bearing distinct markings.
