Windsor Park, National football stadium in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Windsor Park is a football stadium in south Belfast with four separate stands that together hold around 18,500 spectators. Each side of the ground has its own character, with separate areas for home and away supporters shaping the matchday experience.
The stadium opened in 1905 to a design by Archibald Leitch, an architect who shaped sporting grounds across the British Isles. Major redevelopment between 2013 and 2016 replaced the old stands with modern structures, transforming the look and feel of the venue.
Windsor Park serves as both the residence of Linfield Football Club and the primary location for Northern Ireland national team international matches.
Visitors using wheelchairs can find dedicated seating areas, and trained staff are on hand to provide assistance when needed. Parking spaces for people with limited mobility are located near the entrances, making access to the ground easier.
In the summer of 2021 the stadium hosted the UEFA Super Cup between Chelsea and Villarreal, the first time a major European club final took place in Northern Ireland. The match brought international attention to the redeveloped ground and showed its capacity to stage top-level competitions.
