Lightwater Valley, Theme park in North Yorkshire, England
Lightwater Valley Adventure Park features over 40 rides and attractions across its extensive grounds, catering primarily to children under twelve years old.
The park originated in 1969 as a small fruit farm owned by the Staveley family, who had maintained ownership of the land since 1516.
The annual Halloween event transforms the entire park into Frightwater Valley, featuring themed experiences, performances, and carnival-style entertainment for visitors.
The Brighton Pier Group acquired the park in 2021 for £5 million, implementing new family-focused strategies and introducing rides suitable for younger audiences.
The park formerly housed The Ultimate, which held the record for the longest roller coaster in the world at 2.4 kilometers until its dismantling in 2023.
