2010 Open Championship, Golf tournament in United Kingdom

The 2010 Open Championship was a golf tournament held at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England. The event brought together top professional golfers competing for one of golf's major titles over the course of a week.

This edition marked the 150th anniversary of the storied tournament, which has been held since the mid-1800s. The event continues a long tradition as one of the oldest championships in professional golf.

This Championship is one of the four major tournaments in professional golf.

The tournament took place at an established golf club in southeastern England with good transportation links to nearby towns. Visitors interested in touring the course or grounds needed to follow the club's access guidelines.

South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen won the tournament with a commanding victory, finishing seven strokes ahead of his nearest competitor. His dominant performance demonstrated his skill on one of golf's most challenging courses.
