Rodney's Stone, Pictish stone near Brodie Castle, Scotland

The stone measures 1.90 meters in height and displays intricate carvings on both sides, featuring a cross, zoomorphic designs, and Pictish symbols.

Discovered in 1781 during church foundation excavations in Dyke village, the stone was moved to commemorate Admiral Rodney's naval victory over French forces.

The stone contains the longest known Scottish Ogham inscription extending over 3 meters, including the Pictish name Ethernan written as EDDARRNON.

Located beside the driveway to Brodie Castle, the stone remains accessible throughout the year, even when the castle grounds are closed to visitors.

The reverse side features specific Pictish symbols including two fish monsters, a Pictish Beast figure, and a double disc with Z-rod formation.
