Whithorn Priory, Medieval priory and cathedral in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland

Fergus, Lord of Galloway, established the monastery in the 12th century during King David I's reign for Augustinian canons regular.
The Whithorn Priory Museum displays the Latinus Stone, Scotland's earliest Christian memorial, along with carved crosses and religious artifacts.
The priory opens from March 29 to October 31, Sunday through Friday between 11 am and 4 pm, with a lunch break from 1:30 pm.
The site attracted numerous royal pilgrims including Queen Margaret, James IV, and James V, who made substantial donations to the monastery.
