Eaton Hall, English country house in Eccleston, United Kingdom
The estate extends across 10,872 acres, incorporating formal gardens, parkland, farmland, and woodland areas surrounding the main residence.
The Grosvenor family acquired the estate in the 1440s, with the first substantial house constructed in 1675 using stone from Holt Castle in Wales.
The current French chateau-style structure replaced the 1960s modern building through extensive renovations completed in 1991.
The estate opens to visitors during specific charitable days each year, allowing access to the gardens and temporary historical exhibitions.
During World War II, sections of Eaton Hall functioned as a temporary location for the Britannia Royal Naval College.
