Senedd building, Legislative building in Cardiff Bay, Wales
The Senedd building features advanced architectural elements with a glass roof, Welsh slate walls, and sustainable materials across its three floors.
Queen Elizabeth II inaugurated the Senedd on March 1, 2006, marking a significant development in Welsh governance after construction costs reached 69.6 million pounds.
The circular debating chamber accommodates 60 Members of the Senedd while the glass Heart of Wales installation and Three Maps sculptures represent Welsh identity.
Visitors can access free guided tours of the parliament building Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 16:30 and weekends from 10:30 to 16:30.
The building utilizes geothermal heating systems and incorporates local materials including Llan Ffestiniog slate, Pembrokeshire oak, and Port Talbot steel throughout its structure.
